    Hi,

There's been a lot of talk about construction, nursing, and engineering jobs abroad in places like Canada and Australia over the past few months, but what about science jobs? Does anyone have any info on this? I've searched a few websites but couldn't find a single one.

    Merci beaucoup,
    Kevin

Interesting, interesting! I've been thinking about this option myself, particularly India. Any idea where to look, 'net or otherwise, as I seem to spend hours trawling through Google but to little avail!!

I'm actually in the FAS Overseas Graduate Programme but the guy who runs the programme hasn't found any jobs yet. They mostly look in China and Japan. Japan is in a right old state right now, but China should yield some possibilities I guess.

Yeh, nothing as yet. However, as of today, I have a job over in England to start in October. So, I guess that the reason why I started the thread has been solved/sorted-out.

THere are science jobs in Russia. It has a scheme to fund science research, but it can't get enough candidates, so it is probably inviting applicants from abroad. What you can do is contact the Russian embassy for this in Dublin.

fair play man. What will you be doing? I worked for 3.5yrs in England after I graduated at a science campus

You're back in Ireland now though, right (dr_funkenstein)? I was offered a PhD position there, with funding for 3.5 years I think. I'mdefinately going to take it because there seems to be great possibilities for science jobs over there if/when I finish the PhD.
