and the Amber goodness continues, episode had a nice pace to it for the first 2/3rds, house working his way through his list of possible illnessess while desperatley trying to ignore Amber, who got some quality bits in this episode, the singing bit particulary creepy.

Throw in a case that was pretty forgetable and conclude on a series of eyebrow raising events.

While I still imensely enjoyed the later part of the story, the cold turkey was strangely....quick and the conclusion that followed was one we saw coming from a distance and of course raised a few cheers.

    but:

Is that the ender of head amber? -I personnally hope not

with only one episode left this season that conclusion was way too positive.
season 6 is rumoured to open in a mental home so I think next weeks will be very dark with more amber goodness though her appearing and disapearing is loosing its shock value

Now my quick question, would people think the whole head amber thing is something that will dry up quickly or do you think it is worth experimenting it as a permanent cast and character, House has a track record of guest characters that pop up for a few episodes and then bow out for good. Amber is the only one to feature in 3 different story arcs. This last one in particuler being very good, I for one would welcome her as a reoccuring pain for House a bit more spice to his troubled life.

    But what about next week?

    I'm so excited!

Awesome episode! the dancer plot line was definitely forgetable but i loved the sub plot. just wondering if any1 out there knows the last song playing in the episode?? think it was when
    House and cuddy
    were kissing.

I think the head-house/amber plot-line is brilliant. This weeks episode was one of the best this season if not for the last season too.

Though it was more enjoyable when they were working together and while the shock of head-house trying to kill Chase, once that wore off alot of the fun of having House's subconscious visible for all to see, was significantly less enjoyable.

Great episode. They write the 'Amber hallucination' scenes so well. Also, Hugh Laurie's acting it just brilliant. Like Blitzkreig said, the cold turkey thing felt quite rushed. 3 or 4 minutes and suddenly he's grand. Could've developed it a bit more.

Though what's left for the last episode? The ending wasn't exactly a huge surprise. Maybe they'll all live happily ever after? :p

I have to throw a spanner in the works here; I think i've had enough of the Amber-Head-House storyline now. I don't know if there's anything else they can do with it, i'm afraid if they carry it along, it may just dilute the last few episodes and lose it's value.

I enjoyed it when she was rattling out the ideas that house would normally say in the differentials, but as soon as it turned into a physco kind of thing, i didn't like it so much.

The last few episodes have been excellent, the best run in a long time. Can't wait for next week!!

I think that house detoxing was a massive delusion and him kissing Cuddy didn't happen either.

The Amber arc is awesome. I literally had goosebumps when I heard her humming when House was on the phone to Foreman in the bar.

I do have reservations about the ending though. Bit of a juxtaposition considering how dark the 40 minutes leading up to it was - a 12-hour detox, looking remarkably well after it, finally getting it on with Cuddy to some nice background music? Seems a bit out of place. Although I can get behind Xyo's prediction, which would suit the Season 6 rumours mentioned in the OP.

Interesting couple of episodes ahead indeed.

I really enjoyed this episode. Amber and House, naturally. Chase and Cameron getting a storyline together for the first time in a couple of years. I even thought POTW was interesting.

I can't imagine Amber is gone, just like that. And would someone as prim and proper as Cuddy really shag a man who'd just spent 12hrs puking into a toilet bowl while grasping for Vicodin? If it was a dream, it's a major let down for all those waiting these years for Huddysex!

I thought it was a really good episode this week continuing the story from last week.

I do also think things weren't all that they seemed at the end of the episode and that we haven't seen the last of Amber, or at least I hope so.

Roll on the season finale next week. Can't wait to see what happens

when it seemed like the dancer would loose her feet and hands i was like dear god leave her alone. don't even write a script where dancer looses her arms and legs...

Didn't you hear her? She'd been waiting since medschool for the Huddysex! If that make huddysexing a man who'd spent the previous 12 hours detoxing and puking into a toilet bowl, then so be it.

Also, does this mean House is supposedly free of Vicodin now? I'm not familiar with the ins-and-outs of vicodin addiction on TV.

Thought last night was amazing - Have loved this entire story line and literally got goosebumps when I heard Amber and her creepy singing.

Not too sure about the whole 'Amber wants to kill Chase thing' but enjoyed having her around, especially last night when House had to keep looking to Wilson to ensure his decisions were radical, house radical or completly off the scale.

Next week looks to be a cracker - promo on youtube!

Just so disappointed have to wait now for Season 6!
