Inspired by Calina's thread a few ago about the abandoned Boats, I was visiting Donegal over the bank holiday weekend and remembered how I intended to have a look at a sunken boat in the local pier.

I got two pics before the rain started and would love your comments. I would also love to hear any suggestions on what you might have done differently when processing them.

They aren't too dark on my screen, but a third opinion might mean it needs to be recalibrated

    Very nice.

The first one does look a bit dark though.

1st one is dark but if you notice the lighting conditions had changed.
1st one has grey cover clouds, 2nd one is white clouds and a blue sky!

    Thanks for the comments.
They are both HDR from jpegs, but i also have raw versions. From these i can i get a brighter / better version?

I must point out Im a complete noob and probably prefer brighter images as a mater of taste or whatever so wouldnt place too much stock in my throw away observation...they are great shots .

First pic replaced in original post with a slightly brighter image using some quick curves

Yeah that's better, maybe increase the saturation a bit so it's in line with the second.

Sorry dont mean to be a pain in the arse  just wondering if the second one was processed to be sharper with a little more saturation ?
