    hi,

met a lovely girl out on friday night. she was with a friend, we got on really well, we were kissing for a while, talking about loads of stuff we were both interested in, she said she thought i was gorgeous and she invited me to go out with her and a few of her friends the next night.

i messaged her yesterday and no reply. then i went out to a pub later on and she was there. she came up to me after a while with her friend as she'd seen me coming in, she said sorry for not replying but she had no credit coz she's a poor student. she went and sat down again then she came back and she was speaking to me for about 20 mins, we were gtting on really well again and we were having a laught and she told me she had a funny nickname etc, then she told me where she was going later on in the night and that i should come down to her later when i was ready.

i went down, i didn't see her there but i saw her friend walking by, went for a quick stroll and couldn't find them so forgot about it. i text her later saying sorry we didn't meet up and stuff and still no reply.

i presume she's just not interested?

Jeez, I'd give her a chance. It sounds like she is interested but was just having a night with the girls. Sometimes women, unlike men, go out without the express intention of hooking up.

Maybe she REALLY had no credit?

...and wants to know where she stands with you before going any further?

Yup, like the others have said, give her a chance dude. She's probably thinking "Damn, hope he doesn't think I'm not at all interested"!

The fat lady hasn't sung. Not by a long shot!

yeah i suppose, i sent her a few messages over the last few days so ill leave it now. i cant see her replying tho.

Here's another cliché for you - the ball is in her court!

Don't discount her but like you've said - you've tried and now it's up to her. If she really wanted to get in contact, poor or not, she can always use web txts.

Disagree with the other guys. If a girl is interested in you, she will not act like a yo-yo. Think about it this way: if you meet a new girl you like and she would text you, but you had no credit to reply, what would you do? I sure as hell would get out there and buy some credit. Even if it was the last tenner I had in my pocket.

Let me give you an example of what recently happened to me. I was drinking my pint at a very popular Temple Bar pub recently and this girl starts dancing in front of me. Really close. Doing her best to touch me at every occasion. I was ignoring her (wasn't really out there to meet girls that night), but she did her best to get my attention. At some point we finaly started dancing together and talking to each other. Later that night I ask for her phone number and she points at the ring on her finger (didn't notice it earlier in the darkness) and tells me "I am engaged". So why did she crave for my attention? Probably she was just testing if she "still has it". A typical yo-yo - first she's hot, then she's cold. I hate it when girls do that, but it is just a fact of life, sometimes girls will give out signals even if they are not really interested in you.

hm, this girl wasn't one of those in your face girls, she was quite shy until we got talkin and then it very easy to talk to eachother, she was really interested in stuff and asked alot of questions about me etc.

Sure, it may very well be that initialy she had some interest in you. But it may be that something you said or did later made her change her mind. It could be a little thing, so it is almost imposible to tell. Once you screw up you're out, period.

As another poster said, you did your best, you contacted her, the ball is in her hand. Now wait for her to contact you. But don't wait too long, go out there and talk to as many other girls as you can.

She was out with her friends so who knows what happened. I wouldnt keep sending her texts, cos you're gonna look possessive and there's nothing less attractive. Dont text her again, she will text you or speak to you in the pub again if she's interested.

I Dont believe it ...... she tells you she has no credit and she's a poor student and you send her a text and expect a reply .....why didnt you just phone her. (although now you have texted so much I wouldn't call too) ..... give her a few days and then PHONE HER !! and ask if she wants to meet up.

    That's a point...

I personally HATE texting with a passion...and I can actually imagine ignoring texts till the guy calls very easily...

Tell you what, why not call her next weekend?

Poor student? Yet she had money to go out that night? Sorry (and I could be totally wrong) but if she really wanted to meet you again she couldve gotten 5 euro credit or borrowed her friends phone saying hi no credit bla bla bla
plus if wanted to see you in the club she wouldve made the courtesy walk around the club in the hope of banging into you no?
I hope Im wrong. Keep us posted!

I wouldn't bother with her. As has already been said you've indicated your interest, leave her do the running if she's interested.

    Personally I wouldn't hold out much hope, sounds to me like she was sussing you out, a lot of women like trying to see how high guys will jump for them before deciding whether or not to get involved. Bit of a sad approach but that's civilisation for you. In your particular case;

    1) She invites you to join her and her friends on a night out, then doesn't bother to respond to your texts.

    2) She couldn't afford €5 credit, but she could afford to head out on the lash?

    3) She tells you she's going to be somewhere later that night, and shock of shocks, she's not there when you turn up.

There are plenty of perfectly legitimate reasons why all of this might have transpired as it did, however all of that is neutered by one thing; if you're interested in someone you'll generally be willing to do whatever you have to in order to be in their company. The fact that she obviously isn't making that effort tells me she's either not interested, or just messing you around.

thanks for all your comments guys,

turns out i was in work yesterday, and she came in to where i work and came straight up to me and apologised for not texting as she had no credit and didn't want to text off her friends phone as it'd make her look desperate!

we had a bit of a giggle and we met up for a drink yesterday evening, although i did giver her a bit of a hard time about the being broke thing! we're meeting again sunday night for a quiet drink.

thanks all so much for your comments, i honestly thought she was one of these headwreckers who craved attention, turns out she's not... so far!!!
