Looking for a delay/distortion pedal setup for keys for around €100. Is it possible?

Hi all, I've done a fair bit of reading here and while most of the pedal topics relate to pedals for guitars, there's not going to be that much a difference with keyboard I don't think. They'll be played in a band setup so a variety of delays and distortion effects would be desirable.

Basically I have about €100 to play with and while that's not enough to get my dream duo of the BOSS DD7 and the BOSS SD-1. This would bring me up to about €190 on Thomann, which is just a bit dear.

Anyway, does anyone have any good value suggestions?

For the delay, I'm not necessarily looking for the loop function that the DD7 offers but wouldn't say no to this functionality, but the main importance is good delay, echo and reverb effects.

For the second pedal I'm looking for something that provides some good bassy distortion (have used a DS-1 in the past but found it quite thin). With this in mind, the overdrive pedal, SD-1 would probably fit the bill. Not technically really a distortion pedal I know but gives the heavy boost I'd like.

So are there alternatives to these out there or will I just have to save up and splash out on the BOSS options?

To bring it down the me20 would be about 160 if you needed and it has the sd1 and a delay inbuilt, or the dd-6 and the sd-1 would be about 160 aswel depending on the shop. Look around places other then thomann.

I'll be honest, a cheap multi-FX would be a far better option for you. I've a Korg Toneworks AX1500g hooked up to my synths/keyboards which I got for about 120 a couple years ago - does absolutely everything I need it to do. BOSS Pedals are horrifically overpriced for what they are; the build quality is grand like but the distortions/overdrives (w/o Keeley or similar mods) are very underwhelming. The DD series delays are meant to be quite good, but at that price? You could nearly get yourself a nice boutique bucket brigade or analog delay for that kind of money if you shopped around.

Keep an eye out for an ME-20 or ME-50, maybe a cheap GT-6 or any of the Korg Toneworx series. You should be able to pick something suitable up for sub 150 euro. I'd highly advise you to buy secondhand if possible as well.

thanks for the responses guys, i think i may keep an eye out for an me20 or the Korg pedal. Would be awesome if a nice second-hand one showed up somewhere, fingers crossed.

Seems like a multi-effects pedal setup like that may suit me much better for the moment! thanks again.
