Electric Window Problem

Anyone know is it possible (and how) to set top/bottom position on an electric window?
Asking as the drivers side window goes down fine when button is pressed (once) but when pressed for up (once) window goes all the way to the top, closes, then comes straight back down again.
It seems as if its lost its "positions".
Car is a Seat Ibiza 2006.

You will need to get the manual. If the battery has been drained/replaced or disconnected resently these setting will have to be reset.

Hi OP, if you hold the switch in the up direction for 5-10 seconds when the window is closed that window will "learn" where closed is again.

Have the manual (for the car) it has a section explaining why the window will do what its doing, but it doesn't explain how to fix it.
    Battery hasn't been disconnected/drained btw.

I've tried this already, doesn't work, even tried holding it for 30 seconds, with the key at different positions, in the door, etc. still no luck :(

    Anyone??

Do you drive with the window blipped down at all? maybe mositure has gotten into the window motor. Is it only the driver side OP

Yeah its the drivers side only.
Don't think its the motor, I had the door card off, nothing obvious seen, the motor appears to be fine also.

I know if I go to a dealer he'll just say replace the regulator, which aint cheap...approx €80 for the part afaik. As an engineer I can't justify paying for something I should be able to fix myself

Did you check fuses / relay switches.

Edit: Been reading through some of the posts here a few saying the had to replace the window regulator. It might not be as expensive as 80 yo's if you have a look in a breakers yard. Try the goldenpages.

    More suggestions here

Thanks Hal, I'm a member of that site, and read those before.
I just went to a SEAT dealer to see if they knew how to reset it.
They told me it can't be done and I need a new regulator, no surprises with their answer.....I don't believe it can't be done.
