say for example, your playing snooker. you take your first shot, you score, you take the second, you miss, 50% success, you then go on the never ever miss a ball ever again, with your percentage going up all the time. my point is, it keeps going up but how can it keep going up when if he missed one ball, you an never get to 100%!

Its called decimal places. There great.

It's fairly simple really.
If you miss one shot out of two then you have missed 1/2 shots.
If you miss one shot out of three then you have missed 1/3 shots.
If you miss one shot out of 10 then you have missed 1/10 shots.
If you miss one shot out of a million then you have missed 1/1,000,000 shots.

So the longer you go on getting your shots the closer your accuracy will come to 100%. It will never reach it though in reality.
