Friend has an 06 vitara diesel. Recently a light came on in dash and vehicle started to lose power. Manual states it is a particle filter light and can be extinguished by driving at 40km per hour for 30 miles. Tried that and it did not work. Car was just in warranty, so dropped it into dealer. Had the car for a week. Replaced the said filter and serviced the car, also changed the timing belt (dunno why) I happened to pick up the jeep and drove for around twenty miles.. exactly similar problem occurred. Again rang dealer, picked up the jeep and this time had it for a week again. Jeep is back now and driving okay but again this bloody light keeps coming on . Friend is really cheesed off about this as the warranty expires in a few weeks.
