i saw one of these in dublin city tonight, it was one of the 1990 ones, it looked liked it had been repainted in the old green colour and had the dublin bus livery on it. it had 45a shankill on display as it's number. just curious as to why this would be repainted and what would it be used for.

    think it was RH 90d1007

It is indeed RH7 and it has just started appearing on the Capital`s streets after a very high quality refurbishment....It is in private ownership and does indeed look a very fine machine !

Men, it has been well said, think in herds; it will be seen that they go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, and one by one.

why the dublin bus livery so? if in private ownership, and yes it does look very fine indeed.

A few guys in Ireland preserve buses and would choose old DB liveries to do up the buses to make them look "right", so to speak :)

It is preserved in "as new" condition.

This is ex-Dublin Bus RH7. It was withdrawn from the Dublin Bus training school. It underwent a fantastic restoration and appeared at the ITT Rally in April 2009.
    See http://tec-ireland.fotopic.net/c1688670.html for more information.

(P.S. I am not connected with the TEC in any way)

I nearly had a heart attack there when I pulled in at Windy Arbour LUAS to see KC48 sitting there at the bus stop only a few days ago :D
