Rebuilding Fitness

I played GAA and soccer up till this year (leaving cert), and my game was mainly based on my speed/fitness.

But this year ive been mainly school-focused and have lost alot of fitness, like i still play casual football every friday, but it takes alot more out of me than it should.

I was talking to a lad off the GAA Minor A team who i'll be joining, and he said i'll havew to go back training pretty soon after the LC, so i think i definitely need to build up fitness again rather quickly

what would you fine people recommend, just old fashioned running every day?, anything different?, and can you do too much too soon?

Not sure about the best training for GAA purposes, but i would say that you're probably right to have prioritised study this year over training, so whatever you do, work the training around study, not the other way round. By all means train, but keep your eyes on the prize!

Probably the only time sitting at a desk all day will be advocated over sporting activities on this forum!
