Any films out there which really convey the act of torture? In the same way The Green Mile really gets across (though in one case, grossly over-dramatizes) the act of execution.

Have the Blu Ray on preorder. Really cannot wait, I've put off watching it for over a year. I've notived that a lot of reviews for it are very average now compared to the 5 stars it was getting in every review a year ago.

I'm not gonna lie - the premise/motives behind this thread scare me a little.

Its a great movie, only thing I would say is that I thought that it would be more shocking after hearing about the attempted ban and all the people leaving early screenings getting sick and fainting. But saying that I basically look at nothing but horror movies so am probably desensetised and I did find some of the scenes kind of disturbing which was rare for me.
Definately amazing movie though.Reckon why the poorer reviews are out is cause I'd say alot of people that see it just won't get what the movie is ultimately about.I'd put it up there with let the right one in as being the 2 best flics of the last year.
If you like it you should(probably have) watch L'Intereur( The Inside).
