Got my tickets ages ago. Only an hour on the train from Glasgow :)

I wish....but my mate decided to book our post-exams holiday for the week before and flights back that day....will be rushing straight from airport to pub, hand luggage only!! Here's hoping Ryanair are as in a rush to get back that day as they normally seem to be!

Huh .. how did you manage that ??

ERC retains an allocation for the finalists of approximately 15,000 tickets, which will be divided between the two teams. The clubs will distribute their allocations through their normal channels starting early next week.

I'm going. Have tickets since last year and booked the ferry last month.

Was hoping Munster would be there, but I'll go cheer on Irish rugby anyway :D

    I wish I could......

have a two hour exam that starts at 15.30, so not only will I miss the chance to head over, but I'll also niss the first half.. :(

Unless I really really really brush up on my musicology and learn how to write really fast.

Feeling optimistic, I booked two tickets back in October.

Looks like I was right to trust my instinct.

Booked the ferry from Larne this morning. Was going to book flights with 15 minutes to go in yesterday's game but decided against lining O'Leary's pockets (€350 before hidden charges). Match tickets also sorted. Just need to get some accomodation as all hotels booked out in Edinburgh currently. I reckon a lot these will come available next week when our Munster cousins get back to work.

We booked the entire trip months ago [just after we lost back to back games in the group stage]..

Never expected to see us there, so its brilliant the lads have turned it around :)

Tickets are going to be more rare than gold dust, as out of the 7500 allocation the branch have to satisfy the clubs, sponsors and 12k+ season ticket holders..

Munster fan, and have had my tickets it since october, but i'll still be going and shouting for leinster (well Ireland at least :)), nd after the Blues v Leicester match, its gonna be a fantastic day.

Doesn't seem to be any hostel rooms available online. We might just head up there on the day, see if there's any spare rooms.
Anyone know if this is a good plan or not?

Alternatively, we might take the train up on the morning of the match, stay up the whole night, and get the first one back in the morning.

Yep, she's my skin & blister!

Anyone looking for flights/accom, Killester Travel are doing really reasonably priced (in the grand scheme of things) packages. Same day return, one night and two night deals. See www.leinstersportstravel.com

My husband is only back from 4 months in Chad the day before. He rang me after the match yesterday and I told him to meet me in Edinburgh...

I said if we made the final I would fly over for it.

How are tickets going to be distributed to STHs if there are only 7k available ?

I got 6 to the semi and made some people very happy on Fri when I told them, but I have concerns that I may not even get 1 for this if 7k is all we get ?

My longest " Leinster journey ever " plan coming to a halt before it starts on their longest season....

Flights are easier to get from Brisbane to Edinburgh than from Dublin and relative, cheaper too ! :D

Haven't made travel plans but have ticket sorted and backup accomodation if I can't sort a hotel, so just need to book my way over there and back - any cheap suggestions?

First post on boards.ie so hello everyone!

Here's how i'm going to Edinburgh:

Return flight to Birmingham from Dublin is €50 with aer lingus, and then getting train direct from airport to edinburgh, which is about £35 return.. still havent sorted accommodation, but thats the cheapest way of getting there that i've found. Not paying the outrageous prices charged to fly direct to Edinburgh

Yeah. Greedy, profiteering barstewards. Ryanair are looking over €400 return. There are plenty of ways to get to Edinburgh if you don't mind a bit of travelling by train.

I'm driving up to belfast and flying into glasgow, return flights where 100euro.

what u can also do is fly to a ryan hub in another country. like paris maybe. U can get flights for just as cheap and then the flight to edinburgh won't be expensive

just had a look on ebay and say 181 auctions for tickets. Most for more than one ticket. But i suppose that is small in comparion to the amount that have been sold
