turntable output sound - earphones?

    i have turntables and an amp

    how can i listen yhrough the amp in earphones - dont want to wreck peoples head with the music and scratching etc...

    im not talking about the earphones for cueing up through the mixer - seperate to that what gets played out through the amp

    Does the amp have a phono input? if so plug the turntable into the phono input on the rear and the headphones inot the headphone socket on the front and bobs your ma's brother.

    thats it - so if i want to do this i need a new amp?

    do i need a
    phono (pre) amp?


    im not sure what these are, but i searched google for this question and they kept being mentioned


    can i use that radio output and then put earphones through that said radio?
