Moving in to new build and will be ready to paint the outside of the house in the summer. Windows are pale cream, black facia pipes itc, front door black with white surround. No stonework. House has quoins and ridge around windows and doors. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. All rooms inside will be painted white btw.

I would suggest painting the house traffic white - it looks great against a black door and cream windows. If you have the option of adding some red brickwork somewhere in your front garden our on a portion of your house, that will really set it off further.

Dark grey and cream look good together. Black sills also look good with cream/ivory window frames and a "traffic white" walls. That's what we have and everyone says it has an art deco/1920s feel about it. I think the dark grey would be more subdude than black sills, so it depends on what feeling you want to go for and the environment the house is situated in.

Post a pic when you're through if you can - sounds like a fun project!
