Now dont go jumping down my throat but after losing 5stone i've just put a half stone back ON.... i still have about 3.5 stone to go....

i have been struggling with food and comfort eating since but i recently got laid off and since i've been working my notice i've been eating badly, had a hen (boozey) and generally snowballing....
I'd been so proud of myself but the guilt is killing me and i cant seem to get back on track....
any words of advice, wisdom etc would really be appreciated.... y'all have been great in the past....

Eh....give yourself a break. 5 stone is a savage achievement. Savage! I think you're entitled to a little setback if life has screwed you a bit. Just get back on the horse. Start on Monday. :)

Yep, 5 stone loss + half stone gain sounds good to me, wanna swap? :)

Try not to beat yourself up, these things happen, you're allowed spoil yourself every now and again. All you have to do is get into your routine, it may only take one or two visits to the gym to get back on track, if you have trouble getting the motivation to even get there, then I'm sure digging out a couple of pictures of your fatter self will do the trick;)

Fair play to you, that's a great achievement so far. Bet you feel great now. Just think how good you'll feel when you lose that last bit.

Personally, i find that every two months or so i fall of the wagon to a certain extent, and revert to eating junk for a while before i get myself on track again. I think its only natural if you've been making a big effort to stay off junk that you'll find yourself giving in to cravings every now and then. The trick is to use this slip to give you the motivation going forward.

The key is to get yourself back on track as soon as you can and get yourself into a routine. I find its easier to sort the exercise sorted first and the diet usually follows. I find it hard to get my diet right when i'm not exercising (which is why i've been eating junk all week after spraining my ankle during the week). Drag yourself to the gym or out for a run tomorrow to kick things off. Even if you don't run as far or lift as much as you might have a month ago, force yourself to put full eff

    Thanks guys

i'm getting a BIT better thankfully but scales isnt budging much. I find that even forcing myself to gym for a bit makes me MORE positive about the whole effort but i still tend to be so damn hungry after and yet so pleased with myself that i tend towards "treats", i had a freddo yesterday, em and an indian (with my own brown basmati).
    *hangs head in shame*

I keep reading the words "you cant out train a bad diet" yet its not quite sticking....

    A Few quick questions-
i am out of work now and trying to get to gym or be active TWICE a day.... yesterday i swam a few lengths and did 75 mins in gym on cardio and a bit of resistance....

oh and i've signed up for yoga....
i am feeling bloody lifeless today.... i dunno if its a bit of a comedown from the junky eating i've done recently or am i overdoing it....
would a real detox help? cut out dairy for a few days, juice lots of veg, eat only veg and brown rice, oats and fruit and green teas?
(i am NOT relishing the thought of it)

    again any input is appreciated...

Losing 5 stone is an impressive acheivement in this day 'nd age! Most people i know aren't even bothered to exercise nevermind diet! So thumbs up straight away!

I like the odd curry or indian myself but sure thats ok if its a once off(like 1 day a week, or even 1 day a month). Theres no way you can just go plain cold turkey completely! If im makin a curry i usually pack it with veg(2 peppers, 2 handfuls of spinach, 1 onion). Coupled with wholegrain rice it lasts 2-3 days. Not the tastiest but it doesn't leave ye hungry.
