Coraline... in two dimensions

Does anyone know if there'll be any showings of Coraline in Dublin center without the 3-D effect?

Myself and my girlfriend have been to see Beowulf and Monsters vs Aliens (in Dun Laghoire and Cineworld in town respectively) and suffered headaches and vauge nausea both times...

Beowulf wasn't shown with 3D glasses though was it? :s

I don't know if it will or not, just keep your eyes on the listings for when it comes out. If it's not you could always go and just not wear the glasses but that might give you a worse headache ;)

UCI in Blanch doesn't do 3D, but there's a huge poster for the film outside there, (y'know the huge buling-sized ones?) that's probably a safe bet.

I personally hate 3D films, it ruins the film for me. I really wish there wasn't this trend towards making perfectly good stand-alone 2D films in 3 dimentions.
(except crappy horror films - they're quite funny in 3D i.e. My Bloody Valentine :D)

Coraline 3D is a completely different experience to the like of Beowulf. It's a fantastic and very subtle use of the technology.

Saw My Bloody Valentine in 3D yesterday and loved it. The non 3D version which I saw on it's initially release was inventive and fun. The 3D version made the film even funner. It was subtly used for the most part and inventive.

savoy.ie had seperate listings for Corlaine 3-D and Coraline so I thought I might be in luck there, but the non-3-D listing still has no times in it. Thanks for the suggestions, I might try Liffey Valley.

I thought a lot of the 3-d effects in Beowulf and MvA were pretty pointless. Has there ever been non-gimmicky use of the effect? It just seems to distract people from what's happening in the film...
