After 12 weeks and 85 venues the first BrucePoker.com Pub/Club League finished with the Grand Final on the 25th and 26th of April in the Moyvalley Hotel and Golf Resort. The weekend, although hectic for everyone working, went off without any major problems. From the total of 220 players who were invited to the grand final 212 were able to make it on the day which made it the biggest single game hosted by BrucePoker.com.

The prizepool for the players grand final came in at a cool 51,000 euro and was paid out to the top 20 finishers. 1st place went to Anthony O'Callaghan from the Racecourse Pub and he split with Shane Flynn in 2nd and Paul Byrne in 3rd. They each walked away with 9,000 euro and a ticket to the JP Poker Masters in the Red Cow on Friday the 8th of May.
Garry Baxter from the Goalpost Bar & Hibernian Poker took first place and 2,300 euro in the organisers final after battling through 70 other players. We held a 100 euro freezeout on the 25th which was split by Emmet Murphy and Tony Murphy. The BrucePoker.com Live Tour event on the 26th was won by Igor Bulicamc.

Paul Smallwood, head of BrucePoker, and Thomas Byrne, ceo, would like to thank all players who made it to the Grand Final and played in all venues over the 12 weeks. And of course to all the organisers who made it possible.

They would also like to thank one organiser in particular, Jp from Jp Poker who was Tournament Director for the players final, and as always did a top notch Job. Thanks to Danielle, her staff and all the dealers for their hard work and all the staff who took care of setting up the event and the backroom staff from BrucePoker.

Our next league will be starting in September so enjoy the summer break and keep an eye on BrucePoker.com for any details.

Here some of the best photos from the weekend.

The prizepool for the players grand final came in at a cool 51,000 euro and

220 players at €300 each. Should the prizepool not have been €66,000?

Your not taking the top 50 into consideration. There was 85 venues with 2 players from each venue, so thats 170 plus the top 50 equals 220. Each venue had to pay €600.
    85x€600= €51,000
