Think Chelsea wll struggle myself, one eye on Barca, realistically no chance of winning league or being caught for third, and Fulhams record this seasonn against the bigger teams.

Allardyce really is as anti-football as you can get.

In fairness McCarthy got injured and had to go off at half time but I've no sympathy when a perfectly good striker in Matt Derbyshire is off playing in a Greek Cup Final today on loan.

Very nice indeed Mr Alan. You are exactly the type of football watcher(I wouldn't even call you a fan) who turns people off the side you say you follow.

On the game today, Mike Dean as usual screws Blackburn. We would have been 1-0 up most likely if there was consistent refereeing. Givet gets penalised for a penalty but earlier in the game De Jong gets away with the very same thing. A penalty there and things could have been so much different. Thats what all the dissent was about and you can't blame the players when you are clearly being treated unfairly.

Huge game starting now for Hull. Aston Villa have demonstrated that they are a soft team at home, so Hull should believe they have a chance. A win would leave them six points clear - which would be huge obv.

Geovanni and Cousin starting up front, with Ashbee and Boateng in midfield. Is it good enough to create chances consistently? We'll see...

Oh good Christ, the OP in that thread indicated that he wasn't going to lay Villa!!:eek::eek:

The bookies must loooooooooove those who bet on football. Jaysus!

Hull have had two miskicks in situations where a clear sight on goal was available. One from Marney in the first few minutes, and another from Geovanni just there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,434 ✭✭✭✭LuckyLloyd

1- 0 Villa, Carew times his run just right to leave him an easy finish from an Ashley Young cross. Hull got caught out on the break after losing the ball outside the Villa penalty area.

I wasn't happy about that either, we don't have any fit strikers now, just as well we are nearly safe,

Derbyshire came off the bench to score twice in that cup final, finished 4-4, then he scored twice again in the shoot out which ended 19-18!

Looks like he wants to make the move permanent too :(

Hull should really have equalised from that set piece.

heskey on for carew is a waste of a sub

bring nrc on for agbonlahor instead, and let young float between the midfield and attack with barry going out left

    thatll close the game out

Been all Hull the last 10 minutes. Having a right good go here. Villa are a shadow of what they were earlier in the season. Confidence looks non existent.

Surely there isn't enough time for a Gardner booking. Surely.

Villa just about hang on in the end. Barmby was awesome when he came on - worked his socks off.

Looks like if there is a winner between Newcastle and Boro, that whoever wins that game could stay up, boro need a few more goals than Newcastle would,

I can't see Hull winning any more points this season.

Tbh, I can't see Boro or Newcastle taking any points that aren't against each other. You just never now though with teams battling relegation at the end of the season. Someone always pulls an unexpected result out of the bag.

that match being a draw will effectively relegate both clubs, granted theyll have to wait til the following week id say to be sure, but neither will survive the draw. ill put any amount of money on that with you

Fyi we brought in two players in the January window and we had to loan out players to offset the increasing wage bill. At that time Matt Derbyshire had been demoted to fifth choice among the forwards who were all fit so when an offer came in for him on loan, both the club and Matt wanted it.
