Is it illegal for a man to use a womans toilet and vice versa?

I can't see how that would be specified in law, or even what punishment there might be, even if there was such a law.

So, no, I doubt there is any such law.

Why would a man want to use a woman's toilet? I know there are laws to protect public from perverts, in some places common justice might also be available?

So when women use men's toilets due to the huge lines they're perverts too? Don't so reactionary.

As for the OP's question - perhaps right to privacy could be one. There was an interesting article on the BBC about transgender bathrooms being opened up in Thailand.

Pub owners also have right of admission - and you could be a trespasser if you don't obey the management's rules. They could forcibly eject you from the premises.

There are also a number of pubs/venues with unisex toilets. One that comes to mind is a pub in Dundalk, and a tapas bar in Temple Bar.
