    Hello clever-peeps.

I am looking for a city centre venue, ideally a pub, that could host a 400+ people event? Nothing fancy, BBQ and drinks, but would need a good size outdoor area, ideally exclusive (e.g. not also used by other punters)

Any thoughts? Already have D2, Diceys and The Purty in mind...

    Tx.

The Confession Box pub on Marlborough St. Might be a bit cosy though

    I said 400 people, not 40! :)

Was only messing, you'd be lucky to even stick 40 in there!

    Sugar club?

There's that pub in Eastpoint Business park in Clontarf. Although it might just be too far out for you.

Yeh, has to be walking distance from IFSC.

Not sure Sugar Club would be the right sort of location for a big barbie...

Hotels would probably be a better bet for you. I know that the Hilton on the Canal used to do them so maybe try some of the hotels near the IFSC?

Problem with that is that we would need to pay for it like a function. If we can just take a big chunk of pub, their only overhead is the bar staff.

But maybe we can find someone deperate enough...
