    Hey,
would this be a legit club associated with the Ski Club of Ireland up in kiltiernan etc, like would it be offering a service for the progression of snowboarding in Ireland through a artificial slope or is this just going to be more of an online club/forum for people intersted in the sport and a place where people can meet others to go on trips abroad as part of the club. would it be offering trips to the UK for competitions and going to the snowdomes there?

if its more of an online club, i personally feel someone should be looking to take over and revamp irishsnowboarder.com as it had been going strong until recently. the website had been in need of an upgrade but the forums were quite active. it is a shame that is not active as there is a lot of information on it which can aid and answer any questions of a snowboarder in ireland, instead of these people asking questions of other forums where people with answers no longer have the forum..

regarding the club, it could become associated with the universities snowsports clubs; USAI, much like the Ski Club of Ireland (although they might have exclusive rights to Kiltiernan at a club level) and the Irish Snow Champs which has just completed its 2nd anual event (go paul!)

either way its great that you are taking the initiative to do something in this field.

Heu guys. Thanks for the words of encouragement. Yeah I tried getting in contact with Aidan but to no avail. I sent a lot of mails to different addresses that i had for him but couldn't get anything back. If any of you have any contact please ask him to mail me at john@irishsc.com . I was an active memeber (lazypaddy) on that site and really enjoyed it so taking it over was my first thought.
On the other topics about membership, I am hoping to turn it into a legit club. I have been in touch with SCUK and have sent some mails to Kiltiernan to see what they could do for us as well. I would also like to get involved with the universties and some merchandising as well. Basically I'm open to any ideas and open to all types of help as well. Any more ideas????
