    Hiya

I would say the best thing to do is first decide on what kind of day you'd like, how many people you want to invite etc, work out how much you can afford and then based on that have a look at as many venues as you can.

I have recently booked the reception to my own wedding and my advice would be to never take the first quote they give you, always assume they can do better on it. Ask them what can they offer you on the day, what exactly is included in their wedding package, they should be able to sit down with you and go through every part of it and work out costs with you based on what you and your fiance want on the day

There are a lot of general questions costwise but some extras I would ask is their view on your choice of bands, I enquired with a Radisson Hotel for mine and they wanted to review our band choice to make sure they were acceptable for the hotel.

Another big thing I would do is before meeting them I would call and enquire about the price of a room for 2 people for one night on a fri or sat or whatever day you want to get married on, not telling them it is for a wedding. Then when you meet them they will say they will give your guests a 'special' rate for the day although one hotel my friend was married in, their 'special' price was actually 70 dearer than the'r advetised price on the sign displayed outside the week before the wedding. Wedding guests called to cancel their rooms and then rebooked at the advertised price not stating they were going to the wedding. As soon as the hotel realised they cancelled their special offer price of 59 euro per room and all subsequent bookings were at the higher price.

Well a few things to ask
    Do they allow corkage
What exactly is included in the per head price
Do they charge extra for things like water etc
Do they include all venu decoration
Is there extra charge for a bar extension
    What are the charges ?
What time do the band/dj have to finish?is your room included in the price?
Do you get to taste the menu beforehand?
What time is check out the next day?

    hi
Most of your questions are pretty standard and the hotel will have answered them before you ask them
But do haggle with the corkage Bar ext if they charge for tea on arrival
I have gotten some deals and all it was simply asking is that your best price
best of luck with it x
