Yes there is. You can buy an external usb adapter to gain access to your wireless network.

I'm very surprised that it has no wireless card in it for a new laptop. Are you sure it doesn't?

What model of Fujitsu is it?

It's extremely unlikely that your laptop doesn't have wireless.

As Insurgent says, post up the model number.

If its an old laptop you can also get PCMCIA cards , some of the newer ones still sport them too.

thanks for the replies so far.
its a fujitsu esprimo mobile V5535, with celeron processing and windows vista. i cant find the switch that would usually be on laptops to switch wireless on or off. when trying to set it up it couldn't find any wireless networks although there are loads in the area.
how much would an external device set you back???

have just done an online search there about the model and it does say that it should have WLAN on it but i really can't find how to turn this on. i do know my way round a computer but this is puzzling me bigtime!!

On your keyboad, on the numbers is there a icon for wireless over any of them. Also does any of the led's look like they are for wireless.

From looking at that model it does already come with wireless.

Does Fn and the F1 key do anything?

Oh and what is the exact model number?

Only Dell, and possibly one or two other manufacturers have such a switch. Just because there isn't a hardware switch, doesn't mean there isn't a wireless network card.

Well that proves there is a wireless network card in it. :) How can it search for wireless networks, if it doesn't have a wireless network card?

Go to Start->Settings->Network Connections and let us know what is there.

From reading it I thought the OP poster knew there were loads in the area.
