Any reasonably priced public notaries out there?

Being quoted huge amounts at the minute, 30-50 quid per signature!

Anyone know of somebody who charges less? I have to get about 15 documents signed and would rather keep this months pay cheque in my own pocket!

you sure you need to get them 'notarized'....you might just need a cmomissioner for oaths. They charge a tenner a pop IIRC.

Fees are on a set scale, and public notaries are rare enough. Commissioners for Oaths are ten a penny...

Thanks for that. No they have to be notarised - it's for an organisation in Australia. They'll accept Commissioner for Oaths' signatures in Oz, but for people overseas it has to be a Public Notary.

Here is a list of all the Notaries in Ireland - the Americans are like the Australians in demanding their signature on certain documentation.

As stated above there is a set charge in respect of Commissioners for Oaths. I am unsure if the same applies to Notaries Public... if not why not try to negotiate the price down a bit given the number of documents you need signing? Worst that they will do is say no.

No there's no set fee for a Notary administer or attest oaths/signatures so just negotiate a fee. €20 per swearing for about 15 would be very good.

In the end after a bit of ringing around and researching, I did get it for 15 quid.

    Cheers for the replies.

    Hello Vorsprung,

I know this post is 2 years old, but I've sent you a PM: if you can remember which notary was charging 15-30 EUR, that will help me a lot!
