Where do you get your News from [Online]

Hellew, well, I used to use RTE's website, but it has a rather short news section and wasn't updated regularly. I now use Breakingnews.ie as it seems to be updated fairly often, although to be honest, I could wait until I read the free Herald or Metro newspapers and read the exact same news.

Where do you get your news from and what would you recommend about it?

    combination of breakingnews.ie, examiner.ie, irishtimes.ie, independent.ie, herald.ie, and cnn.com....and sometimes random local online sites.

breakingnews.ie, irishtimes.com, independent, herald, guardian, timesonline.

I agree with you about the free papers. I tend to read the metro on the way in to work and most of the time the only new thing online is the breaking news.

By the way the indo have breaking news section but its not that easy to find and the layout is not ideal. That and breakingnews.ie seem to update at roughly the same time. http://www.independent.ie/breaking-news/
breakingnews colors annoy me more than that layout so its the better of two evils in my case :)

I'm checking the irish sites all day to see when the first report of masks being worn in ireland hits. If I've missed it any stories on it let me know! ;)

A combination of Google Reader where I'm subscribed to certain sites rss feeds. Even have one of boards forums feed to me there.

Usually get repeat of the above or additional items from popurls.com

I read the front page of the Irish Times, then read the letters, then go over to independent.ie for news coverage, and then to Google News and BBC News. During the US elections I read Salon too. I'll occasionally take a look at the Guardian and the New York Times and Le Monde.
