Hey everyone, first time poster here. Not a massive snooker fan but always get hooked when the world championships are on. Got a quick question for y'all:

What happens when a colour is potted and all the colour spots are covered? I know if a colour is potted and it's spot is occupied it then goes on the highest available spot but what if all spots are occupied!

    Cheers

It goes as near to its own spot in the direction of the "black" cussion (as opposed to the baulk cussion) in a direct line down the spots (centre of the table).

Only in the line of the spots if it's the brown, blue, pink & black, yellow and green are obviously not in line with that.

Speaking of rules, why wouldnt the ref clean the ball for Selby earlier? Surely if a player asks for a ball to be cleaned than the ref is obliged to do so? I didnt have the sound on really cos herself was watching the apprentice but from what I could gather it was because he was afraid that he would replace the ball in a more favourable position for Selby? But surely thats what his marker is for? Seemed very unfair to me, and it was the same ref that had the cueball incident with Selby against Dott.

EDIT:- Sorry just seen the Higgins vs Selby thread about this, still seemed unfair to me and not saying it did affect Selby but I doubt it helped!
