Was thinking about this earlier. There's loads of massive mainstream shows I've never seen even part of an episode of:

Heroes, Lost, CSI (any of them), House, Battlestar Galactaca, West Wing, Boston Legal, The Unit, The Shield, The Wire, Reaper, The OC, Dexter...

I just don't have time to watch them. What's yours ?

For me I've never watched CSI (any of them), Fringe, Dexter, Bones, Cold Case, The West Wing.

It's not that I don't have time it's just that I'm not altogether sure how good these programs are. I can imagine CSI being very repetitive though. Not really sure about the rest of them.

House, Battlestar Galactica, West Wing, Dexter, The Unit, The Shield, Dirty Sexy Money (an awful lot of the American Dramas)

but closer to home, The Mighty Boosh and The League of Gentlemen (dont know why, maybe theres just too much hype so I've avoided them) and Flight of the Concordes (again too much hype)

I watch tons and tons of tv but there's not enough hours in the day for all the series. I've never watched even a few minutes of 24, Sopranos or Prison Break. Can't help feeling left out sometimes :(

I dont watch any of them, I'm afraid if I start watching one, Ill start watching them all, and ill end up like the rest of the people I work with. Did you see w, x, y and z last night!! I dont know how they get anything done!! And the crazy thing is, they're nearly all on at the same time, so what are they doing? Recording ALL night????

    Ye should all be shot.
Some of the greatest tv shows are listed here. BSG/Dexter etc.

I bet ye watch some ****e though like Coronation Street or other such crap on tv :)

No excuse for being too busy. Ever hear of downloading the show to suit your time? Even RTE are getting in on the act now with their repeat shows.

I've never seen a full episode of The Sopranos, BSG or Firefly/Serenity. I'm going to start watching them when I'm finished with The Wire.

Lost, Bones, The Sopranos, the Wire, BSG, 24, or indeed Prison Break.

Soaps aren't worth mentioning, let alone watching.

I did see a few eps of House the other day as it happens, and it seems pretty good, so am considering getting a boxset.

great idea for a thread btw

i recently over the last year watched a few shows straight though. The wire and sopranos where two shows i was glad i never watched - then when they where over i watched them every episode back to back

ive heard good things about the mighty boosh which ive never watched and i dont like any reality tv show so ive never watched them - except last comic standing that was funnyish at times and it was a boring few months of no tv

im trying to think of other shows

    angel
    boston legal
    rome
    the 4400
    2 and a 1/2 men
    24
    small ville
    the mentalist
    bones

i cant think of any more

Judging by the names of all the programmes that people haven't watched, I'd be tempted to ask whether they have worked out how to switch on their tv sets, or even whether they have a tv set.

Sci-Fi seems to be a little thin on the ground these days, which is why there's even more sh1t on Sky than there used to be:(.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,894 ✭✭✭Nunu

I haven't seen a single episode of most of them.
I don't watch them on TV - my TV viewing is dominated by sport/current affairs...although the last few weeks I've started watching late night repeats of CSI (Vegas) on Living and really like it...starting to get repetitive though.

I have all seasons of Sopranos and 24 on DVD. Will be getting all seasons of Curb Your Enthusiasm too.

I tend to watch a lot of "imported" tv or movies, I just can't commit to much more (got kid also).

My current viewing schedule includes 30 Rock, Apprentice (UK & USA), Better Off Ted, Hells Kitchen, Rescue Me, The Office, there's almost an hour a night for six nights, a couple of movies a week also & then whatever the missus/junior fits in around that, as well as work, family life, house stuff, sport & once a week out to the cinema.

There's a load more listed here that I wouldn't mind seeing but not have a chance. I've also got two seasons of Terminator to start on :(

I don't really bother with anything sci-fi. Not saying its bad, its just not for me. (Although I loved the first series of Heroes...)

As above there's a limited enough window for TV viewing (non sports tv obviously ;) ) so I tend to watch one or two episodes of something and then decide if I'll stick with it. At the moment that amounts to watching the Office and Chuck (and maybe Parks and Recreation).

There's some I'll have sat in front of the tv when its on (whatever's the missus is watching) and some I know i'd hate so there's no point in watching it.

The only 2 that people say I'd like that I haven't watched are 24 and House. I missed the start of them, and then felt like I'd missed the boat on them. 30 Rock was a bit like that but its easier to fit 22 minute episodes in somewhere

either you dont want tv and never bothered to download it or you must have just always switched the TV off when re-runs come on because even now there hours and hours of friends each day let alone each week.

The West Wing or as I like to call it the Grown up version of The Gilmore Girls. Based on a few clips that I have seen.

    MASH
Prison Break (just could start another one after Lost and 24)
Fringe (I might think about it)

Singe full episode of a big show? Ehh probably most of the reality TV ones.

"Only Fools and Horses" would be another.

Um.... eh.. "Ghost Whisperer"? I watch too much TV :(

Ya all them.....ha. There are no relatively new tv shows that i watch - if i don't get into them from the start then i never do usually...

The old ones are the best - friends, er, SATC, frasier....they all gone now though - well er finishes in a few weeks.

With the exception of Boston Legal (which I love) I don't think I have seen any other "big" American tv show.

Friends - Watched half an episode when it was huge in the 90's, hated it and never watched it again
    Sopranos - Nope
    Prison Break - Nope
    Lost - Nope
24 - Nope (but one day I might give it a go)
    Seinfeld - Nope

and most of the other listed by other poster I just haven't heard of but that's because I'm not a fan of US tv shows so I just blank them out.
