Requesting a banning from a forum

Is this possible? There's a forum I've no interest in, reading the posts gets me good and angry, but they keep turning up in NEW POSTS and I click on them [without looking to see what forum it's in, I go by the thread titles], and have to slap my hands off the keyboard before I post anything that's going to get me banned or flamed, or both.

So what's the story? Can I be banned by request so I don't 'accidentally' post, or should I just get lit into one of the threads and let a Mod take the hammer to my ankles?

I see no reason to ban someone from a particular forum.
    Exercise restraint.

You could just check to see what forum you're reading...
