issue with loading some web pages on Mac

I am having problems loading some web pages on my Mac. Mainly use Firefox 2.0.0.20 but having the same problem with Safari 1.3.2.

    e.g. www.linkedin.com

Don't get an error message back - at the moment Firefox has "waiting for static.linkedin.com" in the bottom status bar. While Safari has "loading http://www.linkedin..com/ completed 1 of 3 items."

So it does not seem to be a browser issue. Broadband provider is Perlico and its wireless via a Belkin router.

For the majority of web pages I do not have any issues.

    Any suggestions ?

    thanks in advance
    -gm

    p.s. OS X 10.3.9

Loads fine for me. Are you sure it's not a problem with Perlico?

Works for me, but I have a similar problem with BangCD. It used to work fine, now it won't open the site at all, just spins all day loading. Same with Opera, so I presume its an ISP problem?

    1) Try restarting the router. Unlikely to help but you never know.

    2) Restart the machine. Really shouldn't be necessary but always worth a try...

I tried the re-boots before and it makes no difference. This is not the first time its happened but as I am using this Mac more frequently its a bit frustrating.

As its been suggested I think its an ISP problem so I may post a question in the Broadband forum.

Thanks for your suggestions / help.

Just to let you know I got a solution in the Net Comms forum.

Its was an MTU issue (maximum transmission unit) !!

Changed the MTU setting on my Belkin router config from 1432 to 1492 and it worked a treat !!

    regards,
