TWO IDENTICAL PRINTERS ON ONE SYSTEM

Is it possible to have 2 identical printers linked into the one pc?
I have a Samsung ML2010 and sometimes I need very good print quality, but 90% of the time any draft quality will do. Problem is toner is €100 a go! So once quality starts going it's a new toner. However if I had 2 machines (and they are very cheap at the moment (infact with the free smaller toner, probably wouldn't cost anything!)) I could continue using the toner until it fully runs out. BTW changing printer quality dosn't have that much of a bearing.
Would there be conflict issues or is it just a matter of naming them 1 and 2??
    Thanks

Only one way to find out really.

I wouldn't think there would be any conflicts, Windows will automatically number them 1 and 2 to distinguish them.

I presume they're USB. And you're using Windows.

They will each be allocated a different port by Windows and effectively appear as two different printers.

why don't you use only one physical printer and add another printer in windows and change the print settings on that?

Depends on the quality of the printer driver, if it is correctly written, it will work no problem, but sometimes programmer feck things up. Only way to know for sure is to try two printers with your chosen OS..

That's part of the problem, changing the printer settings has little effect on print quality, once the toner starts to run low(ish).

    Thanks for the replies
