Blind or no taste?

I seen the blind or deaf thread, and that got me thinking over lunch,

would you rather be blind or have absolutely no taste buds at all?

I think I'd rather be blind.

Seeing as 80% of taste is through your nose, I'd have to say taste buds.

I think id forgo tasting my Wheatabix in the mornin in order to be able to see my friends/family/TV/drive/appreciate a sunny day/read a newspaper etc

I think I'll keep my eyesight. Besides, having no sense of taste (and smell, they go together) would mean I could swallow media bullsh!t much more easily.

I'd gladly lose my taste buds. My diet would be so much better because I'd actually be able to eat vegetables, yogurts and other things that taste horrible but are healthy.
