The Twisted Pepper, Middle Abbey Street Friday 1st May

Lineup The Stage: KORMAC Presents THE BAKESALE:
    DJ FOOD (AV SHOW)
    DJ KORMAC (Scribble Records)
    + Q the MONKEY (VJ)

    The Basement
    : Shifty Beats
    YANKEE ZULU
    IMPROV SHE WROTE
    GOLDEN MASSEY

Not content with jetting off here, there and everywhere with either a bag of records or his 11-piece big band in tow, Kormac has managed to find some very 'trusting' people to give him his own club night. Kormac will be inviting along some of his favourite people, providing them with all sorts of audio visual treats, starting this month with Ninja Tune/Solid Steel's DJ FOOD debuting his new audio visual set on these shores. He will be using Serato's new video scratching technology to fuse audio and video from right across the board as only he can. Q The Monkey will, as always, be mixing up a visual feast for your eye-holes, and there are lots of other treats planned too.

Bakesale No. 2 takes place on Friday June 5th with special guest DJ YODA.

Also watch out for BAKESALE RADIO:
Hour long radio shows hosted by Kormac once a month starting in April. Available from Bodytonicmusic.com and Kormac's site. He will be playing everything from old jazz, re-bop, swing and gospel to hip hop, house, techno, jungle and dubstep as well as upfront promos and exclusives.
    SHIFTY BEATS

New collective spearheaded by London based spinner Golden Massey take to the basement for their debut show. Focusing on the glitchy side of electro-techno, the Shifty Crew have invite Stiff Kitten resident & Belfast producer Yankee Zulu to headline their first show with support from Golden Massey and new Dublin DJ Improv She Wrote.
    YANKEE ZULU

Yankee Zulu is the monkier of Belfast songsmith John McIver. Zulu’s slick productions and dancefloor weapons make us proud to unveil him as Shifty Beats’ first guest DJ. Yankee Zulu's latest studio antics have seen him drop some big tunes on som elustrious labels such as Untensil Records, Anabatic Records, OM and Playtime Records. His latest studio escapades have seen him team up with Dirtybird's very own Worthy, their latest release BS Connection has been hammered hard by every dj worth hearing, and their latest track Concumbia (soon to be released) will no doubt have the same effect. John who is an official Shine and Stiff Kitten resident has put in performances across both venues, and played alongside the likes of Damian Lazarus, Andrew Weatherall, Freeform Five, Agoria, Green Velvet and many more.
