Can anybody recommend anyone or anywhere for good and reasonably priced golf lessons. I have only taken it up in the last couples of months and have improved quite steadily. Problem is, is that I have been told I have a hurling grip.

It kinda depends on where you are in the country.
    Where are you located?

I wouldn't worry too much about having the hurling grip. I have played with many players ..most of them better than me ....with odd styles and grips...its what ever works for you !!!

i played golf with a few lads who are hurlers and whatever they are used to doing but they can get some distance on their drives!! One lad had only taken up golf as well!

I know a few people who have a split cack-handed grip. However it will limit you so it is better to get it sorted and to use a conventional type of grip.

The pro at Celbridge Driving Range is named Michelle, had 4 lessons with her, and had massive improvements. She keeps it fairly simple and won't overdo things with you. My 4 lessons basically were:

    1: grip
    2: stance
    3: chipping
    4: bunkers

I didn't put the driver in the bag before I had lessons with her, now I'm very comfortable hitting it. And my short game has definitely improved too.

Just down the road from you too, so could be a good bet

On average what can you expect to pay for private lessons?

A lesson could be €25 for 30 min and you must pay for the balls also.

i cant see you being able to get the distance in a shot with a hurley grip,
although i have very little experience of seeing someone play with one...

you could probably get a bargain for a few lessons, spread them out over a few months, rather than buying lots...

PGA pro william noble is good tho≥.
