Forearm Weak or Poor Flexibility

    Hey,

Having a bit of problems now on certain rows, mainly upright and bent over. My wrists seem to be holding me back. They feel sore and as if they shouldnt bend that way. Ive heard people make the same complaint bicep curling with a barbell.

Ive tried vairying my grip on the bent over row and this can help, but im wondering on an upright row, would an e-z curl bar be better to give my wrists a bit more flexibility?

On a seperate note, bent over row, palms facing you or away? I used to have them facing away but changed sometime back to facing away. I find this seems to hit slightly lower, would people agree or not?

    Cheers

(probably the sh**est explenations going but give me a break.....its only 10!

If you're not concerned with grip strength, using straps should help if you're not already

when doing an upright row, yes use the E-Z bar.
dont bring the elbows up last shoulder height or the wrists will flex.

doing a barbell bicep curl does stretch the wrists a bit, which is why some use the E-Z bar, but this bar is slimmer than the barbell (Olympic) and wont help with grip strength.

bent over row, do both ways. you will hit your lower lats if you palms face away, and a bit more bicep, and most people can lift heavier on this, its similar to pull ups or chin ups.

build your grip strength, do 3 sets of farmers walk at the end of your workout.

Maybe switch to dumbbells so your wrists are not forced into position. I prefer bent over rows one arm at a time. I have seen many here advising just to simply not do upright rows.
