A pal of mine gave me a loan of Borknager's Quintessence.
    What a ****ing amazing album.
    Any fans of the band?
    What do I follow up?

Definitely pick up The Archaic Course, it's their best one.

What genre would they fall into? Are they similar to any bands?

    Will do Karl, Cheers.
    They are Black/Progressive/Folk.
Give this a listen, great tune

I very much like Epic and Empiricism, Origin is very good too but it's an acoustic folky album.
