Electric Drums Recommendation

Sorry if this one has been done before, I'm new to the forum.

I'm looking to buy some electric drums with headphones. I've seen some on Ebay - Arbiter to be exact. They're only about 200euro. I was wondering if anyone has had any experiences with this make and if they're any good?

I'd appreciate any other recommendations too!

    Thanks

To be honest they dont look too good to me. Ill list the problems I see.

Only 3 drum pads, thats snare, floor tom and one tom. I would generally look for at least 4.

No real kick pedal. Generally the pedals like this not as good nor do they feel anything like real drums. Note the difference between the pedals on the Arbitar kits and thsese ones. http://www.thomann.de/ie/millenium_mps100_edrum_starter_set.htm

I realise you may be on a budget but if you could strectch a bit further as with everything you get what you pay for when it comes to e-drums. I have not tried the particular ones in question but this is just my opnion.

Thanks for the replies. The Millenium ones look good, and 300euro isn't out of the price range! Even to my untrained eye they look a lot better than the ones on Ebay!

The other advantage is that you are buying them form a proper shop instead of ebay so if you have any issues it will be easier for customer service.

Just out of curiousity what would your limit be. It might be worth your while to head into the bircks and mortar stores to look at kits there. Even if its just to see the difference between say mesh heads and rubber pads or the kits with real pedals or not.

Any of the Mellenium that dont use the PC are pretty good.

You have a few options in terms of e.drums:

    Mellenium: From €299 +
    Hayman (DD03): From €499+
Alesis: From €350 + (Im not 100% sure)
Roland, take a look at www.xmusic.ie who have a great range of Roland Drums.

Best of luck with the hunt :)

Not really sure what the limit would be but I did have about 300euro to 400euro in mind. They'd be a gift for someone and they'd only be starting out on them so I wouldn't want something too fancy!

you could prob get something decent enough for that price yeah, mate of mine paid 630 or so for a nice roland kit, seems decent enough

    Hey.

Looking to spend about €300-400 on an electronic kit. Nothing too elaborate, just one good enough for practice and small gigs, no bigger than pub sized.

Seen the Millenium ones on Thormann.de, look pretty good and reasonable price too... any tips, experience or advice??

Roland TD series are very good. Expensive but well built and the brain module is superb. You could get the TD3 for about e700 and then they get more expensive.

You could buy a reletively cheap kit and then purchase a more sophisticated brain module such as a Roland or Alesis later.
