Hr display on garmin705

    I jus got my garmin edge 705. Ive managed to set up the unit on my bike and get the speed and cadence sensor set up. The problem that I have is that ive paired the heart rate monitor with the unit but cant get my heart rate to display on screen. Is this common, from my viewing of advertisements my heart rate should be displayed. I havent even found the 'hr field' in the display settings. Any ideas?

    you need to select it as a displayed field. go to settings/data fields and set it up in there to be on the screen in one of the fields. RTFM

    I tried the rtfm idea but the manual is crap!!!

    All i get in data fields is 'Bike1-Bike2-Map-workouts-courses'

    I none of them can i bring up any hr information no matter how may fields I allow it to display.

    you can change each individual field to display whatever you want.
