Ok - weird problem and very embarrassing hence going unreg

I seem to have the most over active bladder in the world!! I'm 23, and if i take as much of a sip of any liquid after 10 mins im tunning straight to the toilet, regardless of whether I've been before or not. Its like liquids are running striaght through me!

It seems worse with coffee or tea, and I know these can irritate the bladder, but I still have the same problem for a glass of water. Its gotten to the stage I cant bring a bottle of water into college exams with me because of all the time I'd waste!!

    Anyone similar/advice?

    Go see a urologist.

Honestly, you have a medical problem. While caffeine is a diuretic (makes you urinate), your problem seems to be out of all proportion. You need to see a doctor.

You can get your bladder into bad habits by peeing too often, and you can train it by not going to the loo immeditely you feel like you want to go. If you hang on longer and longer your bladder will get used to it.
you probably should talk to your GP about it though, in case there's anything else causing it.

I don't think that would be such a good idea, it's not generally recommended to hold it in as it can cause damage - best to talk to a professional about it

I agree with this. My bladder is trained to want to pee after I brush my teeth. So even if I pee and then brush my teeth, it wants to go again.

I would recommend you cut out all caffeine. I've noticed that when I get rid of caffeine, around one week later I notice I am peeing less often (not that I pee a lot, but I have noticed a difference.)

I find if I have a kidney or bladder infection I feel the need to go every few minutes. If you hold it in when you have an infection it will make it worse (trust me on this one I ended up having a really bad kidney infection, it was horrible). Go to the doctor before you try anything else.

Please see a doctor. It may be nothing more than stress causing it,or the bladder may need " re - training".Could be linked to diet and not just your liquid intake.Psychological issues can affect urination bit very, very rarely is there a physical cause.Particularly if you are young.(Can become more of a problem in older people ).

If the doc is unsure then he/she can refer you to a urologist .It will be fixed.Dont worry.

This really can't go anywhere other than medical advice, so thread closed.

OP, really, go to a doctor.
