We've previously stayed in two hotels [Sol Lanzarote & Viva Sunrise Alcudia] where you could spend the day playing on the beach or at the pool, have dinner somewhere and then there was a kids disco in the hotel followed by a cabaret/dance/magic/parrot show etc.

    - Most people would keep their kids up a bit late and relax with a few drinks etc.

So can anyone recommend similar hotels anywhere else worth going to? Or alternatively any other setting where ya can have the little uns around and enjoy 2-3 relaxing evening drinks on your holidays.

    - Too scared of using hotel babysitting services by the way - just seems so uncertain and risky, worried about who would arrive and whether or not they are a serial baby-shaker or worse [?]

    Any help greatly appreciated ;)

P.S. Would definitely recommend either of the two hotels above for any holiday makers - with or without kids.

Chech out the Falcon Holidays/First choice holiday Villages. I have been to the ones in Lanzarote, Dom republic and Egypt and they are really geared up for family holidays.

The one on the Red sea is superb, it has an ampitheatre that has a live show, kids disco, bingo and other such stuff every night. You can grab the mattress off a sunbed and watch the shows The kids can get up and dance as well) and if the llittle ones get tired they can fall asleep on the mattress and you carry them back to your room after the show. i honestly could not speak highly enough of the place, it is superb.

Thanks for the tip Fred - sounds excellent and the reviews on Trip Advisor are pretty ok. Only catch is the 6 hour flight though - might be a bit of an ordeal with our two.

    - Might leave it a year or two!

    Anyone else have any suggestions?
