    Hi All,

Just wanted to let you know of a new website which we have up and running. It's a fairly simple site which is along the same lines as Freerecycle.org and Jumbletown etc but with a simpler and easier interface we think. Jumbletown and Freerecyle.org are fantastic but we just hope to provide another alternative. It is basically for items that are no longer needed by people and they just want to give them to a good home. Also for just free classified ads per county as opposed to category. You may simply want to free up some clutter in their own home, out with the old and in with the new etc. We feel it will be pretty welcome in the recession to have home recycling of goods furniture etc going on. As we said just another alternative or platform to list your unwanted goods.

We just wanted to make it as simple a site as possible and easy to navigate etc, comments would be welcome! Be kind as we are just up and running and its very early days. We know its not perfect!

You can find us on www.freejumble.com

Also, I am pretty sure the moderators could help me out as i am possibly posting in the wrong forum I guess!

Please feel free to spread the word and of course use the site!

    Its all Free

Nice site, looks snazzy. It would be cool if it took off to the same extent as freecycle. But people are sticklers and hard to get round to new things. I think a better idea would be to come up with a site that can pull together all these kinds of site. Maybe you could set up something that could parse the info out of the freecycle e-mails to auto populate your page. Maybe not legal tho.
    Gluck with it

    Cheers Bill!

Aprreciate the Feedback! Yes would be defo open to some interface with freecycle as i think that is a great service but I dont know how that would work! I felt the email service from freecycle while very good was a bit messy, thiss way you get the same type of service yet in a very simple web based application, with teh option of pictures etc. I stll dont want it to get too lost in categorys etc etc like other sites! still alot of room for improvements and additions!

    Thanks again!

Looks like a mess. Image at the bottom is stretched from a smaller image, typos on your homepage, bland colour scheme and poor logo, IMO.

    Regardless, blatent advertising, reported.

    PS: IBTL.

As snappie said, the image at the bottom looks terrible. Make a new image the size you want it to be and do not recycle the smaller image by stretching it as it looks terrible.

On a functional note, I can understand why being able to click on counties is helpful but not at the expense of actual item categories so that needs to be addressed.

Compared to Jumbletown it is user unfriendly
