I'm planning to take a week trip to Canada in a couple of months and have only been to the US before so im wondering what immigration stuff i need to do before i book the trip. Is there an online waiver system like the US have or is it just some forms to fill out on the plane?

Same as entering the US - you should have no problems.

You just get a customs form on the plane to fill out.
