I rarely use Sepia, but looking at some of Janers want to experiment.
Using Photoshop , is the easiest way to convert image to b & w, and then apply a Sepia filter and adjust slider to best fit?

    Cheers

Using the above, with ps cs, here is what i came up with (its Irish heavyweight amateur Champion)

You could all a soild colour adjustment layer and use a blend mode like Colour.
Then you get the colour of your chioce not just sepia.

    That is what I do.

New Layer - Solid Colour - Pick the colour you want.
    Set the Blend to Colour.
Vary the opacity of the layer to change the intensity.

thanks guys, I have an old version of ps - cs --
does the Sepia filter not work too good in your experience ? and can you apply it to a colour image or must you convert to b&w first , before applying Sepia filter
