Publisher 97 and Vista

    Is there any way I can view Publisher 97 files on my Vista operating system?.
    I had a trial period of the latest Publisher on my PC running Windows Vista. I have since installed Publisher 97 but cannot view Publisher files generated on Vista.

    The latest Publisher version is Publisher 2007.

    Publisher 2007 files won't open in Publisher 97. You can save files created in the new Publisher to be compatible with older versions (specifically Publisher 98 or Publisher 2000, I've no idea if saving it in Publisher 98 format is viewable in Publisher 97).

    The trial version should allow you to open files created in Publisher 2007 after the trial period has ended (at least that's what Microsoft say here) but not save them or change them (which makes sense as if you can change and save the files, there'd never be a reason for anyone to upgrade from the trial).

    There's no Publisher 2007 viewer as there is for Word I'm afraid but your trial version should allow you to view them.
