sunday pay advice!

i hope somebody can help me with this!!!!

my contract states that i am entitled to double pay on a sunday,however since the company i work for has expanded to be in a concession with another shop i am not eligable for that any more!! they said the other staff in the new shop are only gettin time and half for full timers and basic pay for part timers and that is what we will get now too,we will get new contracts to state this....the companys are not interlinked they just sell the stock in the same shop..(i hope u understand this!!)
the shop in which i actually work in is a stand alone shop of the company and i will never be workin in the concession part but they are sayin they cant afford to pay us double time anymore and its unfair to pay different people in the same company different rates...this seems really unfair and as if emplyers are usin the reccession as an excuse even though its not effectin us...they have started to expand in it!!
is it legal to do this?? i need some advise!

i did contract law in college about three yrs ago and from what i remember, the company cant change the terms of ur employment contract without ur consent, unless ur contract is being negotiated. BUT as i say that was three years ago and my memory might not be the best, however iv got a link i think will help ya;
