boot mac mini from external drive ?

hi, just wondering as my mac mini disk is so small is it possible to copy it to an external; usb drive and boot from it ?. This would be instead of replacing the internal disk and all the hardship that goes with it :-) tia

Firewire only I'm afraid and you'll find the mac more responsive aswell.

It is possible to boot from USB on an Intel Mac. The drive must be formatted in GUID though. Details here:
