Is it the pill or just me?

I've been on the pill for nearly four months now, I'm due back to the Family Planning Centre next week. The thing is, I don't feel my hormones have improved much. I'm generally an emotional person, but while I didn't expect the pill to eliminate my emotions, I thought it'd at least settle them a bit. So I don't know whether to keep going on the same pill or request a different one, one which may have other side effects. It probably wouldn't bother me if I wasn't irrationally snapping at my boyfriend for stupid things. Could it just be me, or is it possible the pill is playing a role?

I hear ya! I'd say you should change pills asap. I was on a different one a few years back and it made me an absolute psycho!!! I was moody, jealous, irrational, crying at the smallest thing, upset, down etc. etc. I also had an episode like that when I took my pill for 3 months without a break for my period. So I wouldn;t reccommend you do that!!
talk to your doctor, it's not much hassle to switch from one to another, at least it's not like you had the injection, you can stop putting the pill in your system whenever you want.
    Good luck!!

It is possible. I was a looooneybin the first month I tried the pill. I cried for half an hour cuz my mother got me the wrong thing in the shop. Honestly!

I would talk to your GP/Family Planning Centre and ask their advice, explain how you've been feeling, what's changed/what's not etc. They might be able to give better advice knowing your body & what pill you're on.

Every pill treats every woman differently. We've had multiple threads over the years where 50% of posters will claim that one pill is the dogs boll*cks whereas the other 50% will claim that it's useless.

The trick is finding the one that will work for you. I would definitely recommend getting back to your GP/Clinic, explaining how you are feeling and asking the Doc if they could recommend another brand.

    Good luck.
