Actually heard about this offer last Saturday but didn't want to post it in case it turned out to be BS!

Dunnes have an offer on from today until next Sunday (3rd May) where if you spend €20 or more in groceries, homewares or fashion.. you get a €10 voucher back.

Apparently, the vouchers are only for fashion and homeware though - not groceries.

When I first heard about it, I was sure it'd have stipulations but I actually know someone who went in and bought stuff in 3 seperate lots of €20, and apparently there was no hassle in doing so... and getting €30 back of vouchers.

It's a good deal but with no rules or regulations behind it, it'll be abused!

They've official posters outside windows of the Sligo store so I assume it's nationwide.

You get it in the shop when you've completed the transaction AFAIK.

I'll try and take one on my way to work tomorrow but it'll be closed when I'm walking so not sure if I'll get a decent view.

    Hi all,

Just spoke to two guys I know well that work in Dunnes. Its most likely a localised campaign. Not known in the cork or midland area at present.

Sorry lads... wasn't aware it was only in Sligo.

But did think it was odd that it wasn't advertised.. that's why I didn't post it when I first heard about it on Saturday.

Looks like it's only in stores that have lost trade across the border

Not in the Ashbourne branch unfortunately.

FYI: Just reading the small print from the pic of the poster, you have to use the vouchers by the 17th of May.

quick question if someone could help, will do the weekly shop tomorrow and for example....... if i get 50 euro in vouchers can i go and buy an item for 50 euro and use the vouchers all in the one go or is it one voucher per buy

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,195 ✭✭✭Corruptedmorals

Yeah it's not in Dublin, I work in one there...not a sign of this! All of the stores mentioned are struggling/in struggling areas, I'd imagine that's a criteria. If there's no conditions, you should be able to use all vouchers in the one go. It should say on the back? If you go under 50, you won't get cash change, it's most likely be onto a gift card.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,292 ✭✭✭gonker

Spend 20euro get 10euro off.Only one per purchase so technically they are not free money they are money off vouchers. but still a good deal.
