Wicklow test routes

Hi everyone, i have my test coming up soon and i'm really worried about the routes. I actually thought the test centre was the grand hotel and i got 3 possible routes starting from there a while ago. I had been practising these loads and then found out that the test centre is actually at the government offices. Now i'm nervous as the routes are bound to be completely different. If anyone can help with an idea of where these routes are i'd be very grateful or perhaps guide me in the directions of where i can find them. i am going to get pretests eventually so if anyone wants to pm me the details of a good pretester who knows the routes well then i'd be really grateful.

In the meantime, if anyone can share their experiences of the possible routes, it'd be great because i can practise loads now that it's coming up to my test. Wicklow is a scary little town to drive in and not having an idea of the possible routes is even scarier.

That sucks Wicklow is a biatch, i dont think the routes are too different to be honest.

I did it from the grand practiced for ages only for my insurance cert to be torn so they wouldnt take me out. Did my next test in Bray and past .

I can't give you the name of a good "pre-tester" but can provide you with the name of a really good driving instructor. Please note and he will tell you himself if you do a "pre-test" a day or two before your test he wont be able to help you much, what will pay off is good practice with a qualified instructor.

I would advise you book some time with him ASAP to get an general idea of how you are as a driver and then take a few lessons with him. I took 10 lessons with him even though i was driving for three + years, at the start he thought me loads i assumed i knew and at the end it was good for my confidence as i was very nervous come test time.

Thanks for your reply. I've already had 10 lessons, only 1 in wicklow unfortunately so can't really afford many more. My instructor did take me around the areas they bring your such as dunbur, glebemount and church hill and that will help. I guess if i keep practising driving around those areas, i shoudn't have any problems as the routes themselves vary a lot anyway. Still, it would be nice to know the exact routes they bring you so i could practise like it is a test. But i guess i need a pretest for that. I will get one perhaps a week or so before my test.
