Would anyone know where I could get replacement PS3 parts?

I'm looking to try and source a USB circuit board (its a small separate board) for the 40gb but can't seem to find. Ebay doesn't seem to have anything.

Your only option would be to buy a broken, unrepairable PS3 thats for sale on eBay for spare parts.

Faulty PS3's on ebay seem to be too high priced, well over 100.

This is the one you bough on adverts yeah?

Did you have a multimeter? Is the Usb board receiving power?

Check to make sure none of the 4 points on either of the usb ports are touching

    Thanks ongarite, PM sent.

@witnessmenow, yep thats the one, There is no power getting to the usb port, first thing I figured (being lazy) was a dry joint somewhere I went over the usb circuitry with a hot air gun, turns out that wasn't it. I traced the power to the usb port and found it was not getting through on an 8 pin IC. unforunately the heat gun removed all markings on it, so now I have no idea
what type of logic circuit it was. Thats what I get for jumping the gun.
