hi sorry about the crudeness of the thread name but i couldnt word it differently. the thing is. sometimes i get a pain in my bum, so bad that it stops me cold. last night it woke me up. the pain is right in my prostate area. ive gone to the doc and he sent me to a specialist. and i got a left colonoscopy done. the specialist said i was healthy and not to worry and when i told him how could i be fine, i'm in pain, he just dismissed me. i was wondering if any one has had this problem. thanks in advance.

Nobody here can possibly tell you what this is without doing a number of tests. I'd say your first GP sent you to the wrong type of specialist. Try another GP, explaining that you've been for colonoscopy and it was fine.

I'll have to close this thread now as I don't want people making random suggestions as to what the problem could be. That would constitute medical advice. Sorry.
